Winter is almost here. As we have our first dusting of snow in the forecast, we want to let you know our plan for inclement weather days, as well as the process involved in making the snow day decision. Because in-person instruction is so important, we will be utilizing make-up days, not NTI, on inclement weather days. The make-up days, as set by the OCBE last spring, will be as follows: May 23, May 24, May 25, February 21, May 6, and May 26, in that order.
We understand that our decision on whether or not to close schools during inclement weather has a big impact on our families. As always, when we make that decision, our number one priority is the safety of students and staff.
There are several steps we take when deciding on closing or delaying school start times. We start implementing our plan as soon as there is a forecast of possible snow.
